We were appointed to design the garden for a new dwelling set on the edge of an AONB in Sussex. Surrounded by mature woodland, we were brought on board to design a garden which would effortlessly anchor the building to its surrounding landscape. Terraces and pathways are made up of a humble and agricultural palette of materials such as weathering steel, crushed stone and concrete, enhancing the modest character of the corrugated building. Sensitive design and ecological practices such as harvesting water, tree planting and nectar rich meadows allows this project to feel the epitomy of modern architecture, landscaping and living.
