Connectivity and sensitivity were key concepts when masterplanning this large country garden for a Grade 2* listed Old Rectory, which upon our initial arrival felt disjointed and many areas unused. New distinct garden areas have been created for the family; Walled Pool Garden, Formal Lawn, Kitchen Courtyard, Kitchen Garden and meadow & orchard areas. Vernacular details with a twist of modernity thread through each area, with bespoke and handcrafted elements which celebrate the history and character of the building, whilst breathing new life into the gardens. New vistas and pathways have been introduced to create flow around the garden, anchoring it to the house and allowing it to feel complete.
